I have wanted to get into prop making for a long time and it feels like it would be a natural progression for me. I have great respect for prop and set makers and this only grew during the times I have worked in the film industry. My longing to work in prop making increased even more after I visited WETA Workshop in Wellington NZ.
Unfortunately as yet the only props I have had the pleasure to make have been incredibly low budget and are usually for fancy dress parties and other peoples student projects as well as the odd gift. I am keen to expand my skills to a range of different materials, especially EVA Foam and metal.
If you are someone viewing my portfolio to assess my prop and set making ability I advise you to also look at my Leatherwork, Wood colouring and toning (the mrror may be of particular interest), Furnture, Knife making and possibly my Flowers, Instruments and Small wood projecs pages.
