Bespoke Furniture
Made to match the customers kitchen cabinets and to support a large, heavy artistic pot. Every part of this table joins into the other pieces with either mortice and tennon, lap or half lap joints. It is incredibly strong and could be used as a seat if the customer desired. I am very happy with how this piece came out.
Bespoke Furniture Alterations/Rebuilds
These two pieces were once one, a catalogue item from a well known furniture retail company. The Customer had hired a craftsman to cut the piece in half and fit it to the sloping ceiling in a converted loft. The craftsman did not manage to do this adequately and had used MDF in place of pine. I removed this and replaced it with pine, made replacement parts for those that were missing, fitted a reinforced pine back for the bigger cabinet which will support a TV bracket and added shelves where needed. I also built matching panels that extended the cabinets to the wall and painted both cabinets in a two tone shabby chic style to the customers specification
A customer had bought this table which was a catalogue item from a well known furniture retail company but wanted it smaller but to still look antiqued and keeping to the style. The legs were taken off along with the necessary metalwork, the table was cut down length and width ways, saving the aged ends of the planks which were glued to the freshly cut ends, the glue joint was hidden under the metal strap and the legs were put back on.
